Damian VanCamp was born and raised in New York City, and was
introduced to the visual and musical arts at a very early age.

Damian's interests are well-rounded and wide-ranging.  The most prevalent in
his fine art work include art history, theology, psychology, and biology,
with an overarching theme of historiography.  Damian regularly infuses
his work with these broader interests, using them as mechanisms that help to
formulate and enrich his work on both the conceptual and visual level.

Damian's strength as an artist lies in his ability to synthesize his many interests
into bodies of work that distill larger ideas down to intelligent, visually-
stimulating, relevant works of art.

He currently holds a BFA in photography from the Rhode Island School of Design, and an MFA in architectural lighting design from Parsons The New School for Design.  Damian lives and works in New York City.
